Carved in Stone Sets Venue & Run, Director Opens June 5 at Theatre Asylum; John Pabros-Clarks Helms

Carved in Stone, Jeffrey Hartgraves' after-life literary comedy, will open June 5 at Theatre Asylum on Hollywood's Theatre Row.
John Pabros-Clark will direct, stepping in for Hartgraves, who passed away in September. Leon and Laurence Whiting of Larilee Productions and Matthew Quinn of Theatre Asylum will co-produce.
Kevin Remington (Truman Capote), Jesse Merlin (Oscar Wilde) and Curt Bonnem (Tennessee Williams) will join original cast member Leon Acord (Quentin Crisp) for the Los Angeles run. Levi Damione will assume the leading role of Gryphon Tott.
Carved in Stone made its successful world premiere at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco in August 2002, directed by John Fisher.
"Producing this show in LA has been a long challenge," says Acord, who also co-produced the San Francisco production with Whiting. "We've been working on it since 2005, and came close a couple of times. I'm thrilled that its finally happening, though doing it without Jeffrey seems very strange."
